Symbolic Incompleteness

This blog, though given my best effort, is so incomplete and seriously
lacks thoroughness. I wish I could make you understand everything that
happened to me in Hong Kong-- it changed me in so many ways. I wish I
could make you understand my students and their culture-- they are so
full of life and yet I only scratched the surface in learning about
them. I wish I could walk away from this the way I had planned
originally-- this is a good thing to do, something fun, one last crazy
adventure before I settle down, a cultural experience, or a summer
getaway. Well, I was wrong. It was everything more.
